Located in the centre of Puyreaux village, just two minutes from Mansle, this detached house, used in the 18th century as a relais de poste, is set in a floral garden in large grounds with a private swimming pool. The property has been tastefully restored with the interior modernised and well decorated with a modern oak fitted kitchen, old tiling and lovely fireplaces, making it very spacious and comfortable offering a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. Mansle is close by and offers canoe kayak, cafés, restaurants and a market. A 15 minute drive away is the town of Angoulême with the lake of St Yrieix famous for water skiing and windsurfing and the old town offering museums and interesting old shops. A little further are the distilleries of Cognac, the town of Jarnac offering boat trips on the River Charente and the Marais Poitevin (Green Venice).
