In between Angoulême and Limoges and near the river Vienne, this charming renovated cottage is situated in a small village. The charming English owners live next door and there is a shared above ground swimming pool set in large grounds. The cosy interior is simple but very practical for those with children and has its own terrace. 5km away is Chabanais with numerous shops, bars as well as a morning market once a week. There are three lakes 10 minutes from the property which offer watersports, children’s play area, beach and snack bar (in high season). A little further afield (less than half an hour) is Lake Lavaud with a beach where you can waterski. Other places to visit include the Limoges porcelain museum, Futuroscope at Poitiers or the beautiful old town of Angouleme. _Living/dining/kitchen.
