In the north part of the Charente, near the pretty town of Ruffec, this peaceful, small château overlooks the River Charente. It has its own swimming pool (swimming towels provided) set in a large garden with sloping woods going down to the river with gate access for fishing. At less than 10 minutes walk is the river with a picnic area and canoes and even a beach. This classic self catering holiday property has a tower and lovely views across the valley of the Charente. The large ‘L’ shaped living room has a table from a monastery and Napoléon III style furniture, many of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and there are lovely outside seating patios making this property a peaceful haven.
