This ‘Domaine’ consists of the owner’s home and three different size cottages created from a former farmhouse, barns and outbuildings (La Ferme, La Grange and La Petite Maison). The original transformation was done some years ago but the current owner’s have up-graded the bathrooms and kitchens and added additional facilities for guests. The ‘refreshed’ cottages now combine modern equipment and furnishings with many interesting and attractive, original features including stone walls and exposed oak beams. All the cottages are adequately spacious and comfortable for the maximum number of guests. Each has its own terrace/patio area, barbecue and garden furniture. The large 1.5 hectare gardens are mainly lawned and provide an ideal place for children to play. The facilities available include a heated swimming pool (13 x 6.5m), table tennis, children’s swings, a gym (with exercise bike, rowing machine, bench and weights), with bicycles available for hire locally and delivered on site. There is also a shared laundry room and a TV room with a large selection of videos and a darts board. For golf enthusiasts, one of the region’s most popular golf courses is only 4km away. The immediate surrounding area consists mainly of farmland, woodland and the beautiful countryside for which the Dordogne is famous. Despite this you do not have to travel far to visit many of the region’s most popular places. The Bastide of Eymet, the market town of Ste-Foy La Grande and the château of Duras are all within 15km. Bergerac and its many famous wine producing châteaux and old port is approximately 20km. A little further east are the many attractions of the Dordogne Valley. The medieval town of Sarlat, the Châteaux of Baynac and Castelnaud, the Bastide of Domme and La Roque Gageac are all within 100km.
