This is a truly lovely, spacious 19th century French country house in an idyllic rural position set well back from the riverside road which runs along the Loire between Angers and Saumur. With superb views across the Loire Valley, it is ideal for touring the châteaux, vineyards and abbeys of the region. Charmingly restored and fully modernised, the property retains many original features including tiled floors, stone fireplaces and exposed beams. The delightful gardens, terrace and pool area are maintained by the gardener. The three acres of private grounds include a secluded swimming pool, well away from the house, games room, walled courtyard, orchard, woods, stream and fishpond (children require supervision). Within walking or cycling distance are the village shops at La Menitré, where there is a rail link to Paris; and a wide variety of local sports facilities.
