Hérault_Lively most of the year, Cap d’Agde is one of the best known resorts in the region and boasts 14 kms of golden sandy beaches, a colourful marina, all types of watersports, a famous golf course and a tennis centre. The Aqualand water fun park offers hours of fun for all the family and the nearby towns of Séte, Beziers and of course Montpellier are well worth a visit. _A pedestrianised residence, Le Clos des Amandines is situated in the Rochelongue quarter, is just 300m from the beach as well as a variety of shops, bars and restaurants and features an outdoor pool (Jun-Sept). The semi-detached houses are well equipped and benefit from a private terrace or private garden area.<br />Although a car is recommended for the resort, visitors can now travel by high speed train into Cap D’Agde from Paris or Lille. The town of Agde is a relatively new resort which was commercialised during the 1970s. Before that time it was a predominently French seaside resort and a lot of people enjoyed second homes there - the pretty residential areas of the resort reflect this history. Now the area is a great place to visit for those who wish to experience the French riviera without the crowds that places like Cannes and Nice at the other side of the coast attract. _All houses have living/dining room with double sofa bed, kitchen corner with 4 electric hotplates and mini-oven.
