The residence lies in the heart of the Gers, 62km from Pau, 50km from Auch and 40km from Tarbes. _The residence is divided into apartments and blocks of houses all of which have been decorated with care. The architects took inspiration from New Orleans when they designed this residence with roofing on different levels, carved wood and metal awnings and lambrequins. Nearby is Marciac which should be visited to enjoy a coffee in the central square which is surrounded by beautiful old houses and has a very well preserved arcade offering shade to cool down in the hot summer sun. <br />This is a great place to sample the local cuisine: although not for the faint-hearted the salade de gesiers (duck&rsquo;s gizzards) is a local speciality often served with green beans and the freshest tomatoes and is significantly nicer than it sounds! There is a heated outdoor swimming pool that overlooks the lake and all the accommodation has been designed to take into account the beautiful lakeside views too.
